Module 1: Getting Started with MySQL Database for Developers

Instructor: Sarah Sproehnle

Description: This course helps developers use the features of MySQL software (version 5.0 or 5.1). It looks at the architecture of the MySQL management system, how to write queries efficiently, how to utilize stored procedures, triggers and views, and much more.

Course Approach: The instructor discusses and demonstrates features of the MySQL database server. The focus is on MySQL software version 5.1, the current GA release.

Module 2: MySQL Database for DBAs

Instructor: Sarah Sproehnle

Description: This session covers the most common tasks of a MySQL database administrator. It looks at proper configuration, backup and recovery, security, replication, and more.

Course Approach: The instructor discusses and demonstrates features of the MySQL database server. The focus is on MySQL software version 5.1, the current GA release.
