  2. Trace the logical data paths through the server blade
  3. Describe the power layout and cooling paths of the server blade
  4. Indicate which components are field replaceable units (FRUs) and customer replaceable units (CRUs)
  5. Install or replace the FRUs and CRUs
  6. Configure the network management system
  7. Perform basic hardware administrative procedures and update system software and firmware components
  8. Identify the troubleshooting tools that can be used on the system
  9. Isolate a system error using error messages and diagnostics

Module 1 - Features and Architecture of the Sun Blade T6320 Server Module

  • Explain how to interact with the server blade within its chassis environment
  • Locate and describe the functions of the server blade components
  • Trace the logical data paths through the server blade
  • Describe the power layout and cooling paths of the server blade
  • Name and describe the functions of the system indicators for the server blade
  • Indicate which components are field-replaceable units (FRUs) and customer-replaceable units (CRUs)
  • Explain the function of the service processor (SP) management network

Module 2 - Installation of the Sun Blade T6320 Server Module

  • Install or replace the server blade
  • Install or replace a server blade dual inline memory module (DIMM)
  • Install or replace the server blade REM or FEM
  • Install or replace the server blade service processor (SP)
  • Install or replace the server blade real-time clock (RTC) battery
  • Install or replace the server blade non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM)
  • Install or replace the server blade hard disk drive (HDD)

Module 3 - Configuration and Administration of the Sun Blade T6320 Server Module

  • Configure the network management system
  • Perform basic hardware administrative procedures
  • Update system software and firmware components
