Module 1 - Key Features of the Sun Fire X4540 Server

  • Describe the specifications and key technologies of the Sun Fire X4540 server
  • Describe the major features of the CPU, memory, input and output, and storage
  • List the physical characteristics of the Sun Fire X4540 server
  • Identify the visible components on the front and rear of the Sun Fire X4540 server
  • Describe where the Sun Fire X4540 server is positioned in the Sun product line
  • List the target industries and applications for the Sun Fire X4540 server

Module 2 - The Sun Fire X4540 Server Architecture and Internal System Components

  • Describe the architectural features of the Sun Fire X4540 server
  • Locate and describe the major system components of the server

Module 3 - Rack Installation

  • Identify supported rack types
  • Identify the tools required to install the Sun Fire X4540 server in a rack
  • Install the Sun Fire X4540 server in a rack on slides
