This course covers the key features and architecture of the Sun Fire X4500 server and the relation to its product family. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to install the Sun Fire X4500 server into a rack, configure the service processor, install the platform software, and perform hardware replacement procedures and basic troubleshooting. This course also covers an introduction to ZFS.

  • Install the cable management assembly for the Sun Fire X4500 server
  • Power on and off the Sun Fire X4500 server

Module 4 - The Sun Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM)Platform software installation

  • Describe the ILOM features and functionality
