Specific associated skills include addition of Cluster nodes, performing software upgrades, and setting up replication without suffering downtime. The typical job role for a SCMCDBA is maintaining and performing continuous service on one or more MySQL Cluster setups, in cooperation with users and developers. The SCMCDBA understands the underlying logic and influence of hardware components in a Cluster system, and is able to provide the necessary degree of security and performance throughout the system.
