Sun Microsystems Appoints Andrew Goodlace Acting Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand

Sydney, Australia, 4 February 2009. Sun Microsystems, Inc. today announced that Andrew Goodlace has been appointed acting managing director for Australia and New Zealand. Goodlace was most recently director of sales for Australia & New Zealand and has extensive experience managing sales and operations including Sun's federal government business. Goodlace replaces Duncan Bennet who has resigned to pursue other interests.

"Duncan is highly respected by his peers, staff and colleagues in the industry and we thank him for his exceptional leadership and many contributions over the last 10 years" said Lionel Lim, president, Asia Pacific, Sun Microsystems. "During his time at Sun, Bennet has consistently grown market share for the Australia &: New Zealand operations and developed a high performing sales team."

Goodlace has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry managing sales and partner engagement teams as well as previous managing director roles with several IT companies. With years of experience selling complex solutions, Goodlace's expertise has resulted in numerous customer wins for Sun.
